As the season continues to develop, the big event is slowly drawing near. 35 competitors are now signed up to contest the National Championship title at the Mid Ohio Sports Car Course on September 14. The field for this year includes past National AIX Champions Chris Griswold (2007) and Ernesto Roco (2006) as well as two time AI Champion Jay Andrew (2006 & 2007). However, nothing is at all set in stone as the field includes strong contenders from around the nation who proved their mettle in years past and have been laying down commanding performances in regional races all year long. The event also includes generous contingency programs from leading ponycar tuners such as Agent 47, Griggs Racing Products, and Maximum Motorsports, all of whom have achieved podium finishes with their products in previous contests at Mid Ohio.
