Maximum Motorsports Offers Contingency Programs for NASA’s American Iron Series

SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA. — Maximum Motorsports will again support road racers with contingency-awards programs in both the American Iron and American Iron Extreme classes for the 2008 season.

The MM contingency-prize program for AI and AIX racers participating in NASA’s National Championships event at Mid-Ohio will continue in 2008. MM-equipped contestants finishing first through third will earn amounts that increase with the number of MM products used.  A class winner will receive a minimum of $800, and up to $1,450.  These National Championship prizes are in addition to the MM contingency awards posted for seven specified NASA regions.

For the 2007 season, MM awarded more than $7,700 in contingency cash to 8 different winning drivers in NASA's American Iron and American Iron Extreme classes. Among them were the American Iron National Champion, Jay Andrew; American Iron Extreme National Champion Chris Griswold; a total of six regional AI or AIX champions, plus two regional runners-up.

Eligibility for these NASA contingency prizes is not automatic. To learn how to qualify for these MM awards, visit the “At The Track” section of the MM website, www.maximummotorsports.com; call (805) 544-8748, or contact NASA directly.

NASA welcomes any company to offer contingency program to the racers. NASA does not charge a participation fee and will post a link on www.americanironracing.com to your companies website with the description of the program. NASA will not be responsible for administration of awards and prize distribution. If the company needs verification of a specific part used during a race, a NASA official will be available to sign a "verification form" which must be part of your contingency package and must require the racer to bring the form and the vehicle to the official for signature. Please remember that contingency programs are designed to award a racer that uses a product and makes good marketing material because that product is proving to be effective. Any company that wishes to become a presenting sponsor solely for the sake of marketing exposure or would like the series to make a piece of equipment a required specification (spec) is also welcomed to contact series officials. Please send a link to your website that details your contingency program to contingency@drivenasa.com and we will get it posted.
